Prince George, BC – On April 30, the Northern Development Board of Directors approved $1,171,190 in grant funding for seven economic development projects throughout its service region. From Lytton First Nation in the south to Dawson Creek in the north, all the approved projects will support community resiliency through impactful funding.
“Many of these projects fall into one of two categories: food security and outdoor recreation,” said Ben Campbell, CEO, Northern Development. “This reflects trends that we have been seeing throughout Northern B.C. in recent years – people appreciate living and playing in the north and are dedicated to sustaining and enjoying this unique lifestyle that we all enjoy.”
Funding was approved through the Trust’s Community Development suite of programs to the following proponents:
