Vanderhoof– Northern Development Initiative Trust has approved $5,000 to assist the District of Vanderhoof to conduct a housing needs and demand study. The proposed study will help the community prepare to meet the demand for adequate and affordable housing in order to satisfy the growing population in Vanderhoof. The study will fund a demographic and economic profile, build an inventory of current housing needs and supplies and provide likely housing scenarios. Northern Development has approved $30,000 to replace CN Centre’s ice plant condenser in time for the 2015 Canada Winter Games and other news

Prince George– Northern Development Initiative Trust has approved $30,000 in funding for the City of Prince George to replace CN Centre’s ice plant condenser, in preparation for the 2015 Canada Winter Games. The recently completed project will decrease the cost associated with operating the chiller; as well reduce the environmental footprint, by installing a more energy efficient model.
