Competitiveness Consulting Rebate helps Noratek Solutions Inc. research target markets

Prince George based software development company Noratek Solutions Inc. is seeing new interest in its products in part thanks to Northern Development’s Competitiveness Consulting Rebate program.

Noratek, which provides software that helps municipalities manage their infrastructure, accessed funding through the program to conduct a two-phase marketing project that included market research and a promotional video.

President of Noratek Steven Findlay said bringing in the marketing expertise has positively impacted his company.

Noratek’s niche software solution, CityReporter, is a mobile inspection app for building inspections, facility inspections, fire inspections, playground inspections, sport field inspections and road inspections. “The program allowed us to research the target market for our product and helped us hone in on who would be best to focus our efforts on,” said Findlay.

Findlay used the results of the research and, with a consultant’s assistance, created a two-minute promotional video that features the CityReporter software.

Findlay knows the video intrigues the client and allows the company to communicate their product efficiently.
