2018 – The Sandspit Wild Harvest Festival started in 2015 and has been gaining popularity ever since. New this year was live music on Friday evening which was very well attended. Other aspects of the festival included guided nature walks, informative presentations, vendors and the sold-out Wild Harvest Festival Dinner. Attendance for this two-day event is estimated to be between 250 and 400 people, in a community that is 250 residents strong, these are impressive numbers.

Fabulous Festivals and Events is a program that provides annual grant funding to support unique festivals and events throughout Northern B.C. that contribute to service sector revenues in the local economy. Up to $2,500 is available to events with a total project budget that is less than $50,000. Events with a total budget over $50,000 can receive up to $5,000.
