Grant Writer Funding Partnership Will Benefit Central and Northern BC First Nation Communities

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – and the New Relationship Trust are partnering to further increase the capacity of First Nations in central and northern BC to access funding for priority projects within their communities through Northern Development’s Grant Writing Support program. Government of Canada and Northern Development Invest in New Biomass Company in Cariboo

Williams Lake, BC – Pioneer Biomass, a new subsidiary of the Pioneer Group, will soon be operational with funding support from the Government of Canada’s ‘Community Adjustment Fund’ and Northern Development Initiative Trust’s ‘Capital Investment and Training Rebate’ program.  The Pioneer Group is a family owned business that includes log homes, land development, logging, trucking and forest management. Government of Canada and Northern Development Invest in Northeast Livestock Industry

Dawson Creek, BC – The Dawson Creek Exhibition Association plans to rebuild the Northeast Regional Auction Mart with funding support from the Northern Development Initiative Trust and the Government of Canada’s Community Adjustment Fund.   The auction facility, which started operation in 1957 and services the whole northeast region of British Columbia, was destroyed by fire in 2004.  The rebuilding project will provide a key agricultural service to ranchers in northeast BC.
