Skaters and hockey players in the Robson Valley can look forward to first-class ice conditions at the Robson Valley Recreation Centre this winter with the installation of new brine pumps.

The Trust has approved a $30,000 grant through its Community Halls and Recreation Facilities program to upgrade a 32-year-old system of heat and circulation pumps.

The pumps are crucial to ensuring the community of McBride can continue to host hockey tournaments, figure skating events and curling bonspiels.

The installation of the new pumps will also generate cost savings for the facility, which provides recreational opportunities to Robson Valley residents of all ages.
