Northern Development has approved $30,000 to replace CN Centre’s ice plant condenser in time for the 2015 Canada Winter Games and other news

Prince George– Northern Development Initiative Trust has approved $30,000 in funding for the City of Prince George to replace CN Centre’s ice plant condenser, in preparation for the 2015 Canada Winter Games. The recently completed project will decrease the cost associated with operating the chiller; as well reduce the environmental footprint, by installing a more energy efficient model. This grant was approved through Northern Development’s Community Halls and Recreation Facilities Program.

Prince George– Northern Development Initiative Trust has approved $30,000 for the City of Prince George to replace the Prince George Aquatic Centre’s wave machine. The Aquatic Centre is a key recreational facility within the City and will be an official venue of the 2015 Canada Winter Games, hosting water sport events such as synchronized swimming. The recently completed project will provide upgrades to the facility that will help it to meet the demand of increased facility users during the Games. This grant was approved through Northern Development’s Community Halls and Recreation Facilities Program.

Prince George– Northern Development Initiative Trust has approved $30,000 for the City of Prince George to replace lights in the Coliseum Arena. The Prince George Coliseum is a sports and recreation arena in downtown Prince George and will be used as a ringette venue in the 2015 Canada Winter Games. The currently underway project will replace and upgrade the lighting in the main arena with more energy efficient fixtures. This grant was approved through Northern Development’s Community Halls and Recreation Facilities Program.
