Love Northern BC shop local campaign expands in the Northeast and Central Coast

BC Hydro establishes $800,000 fund to support non-profits in Peace Region

FORT ST. JOHN – BC Hydro today launched an $800,000 fund to support Peace Region non-profit organizations. Trust funding will allow Barkerville to expand visitor centre

Barkerville Historic Town & Park will be able to expand their visitor centre and off-season programming, thanks in part to Northern Development Initiative Trust. Northern Development board selects new CEO

Earlier this year, Northern Development Initiative Trust announced that our current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) would be retiring this fall and that the Trust would commence the search for her replacement. The Trust’s Board of Directors has selected a new Chief Executive Officer to succeed retiring CEO Janine North and ensure a smooth transition of leadership this fall. Trust approves $250,000 for event facility at Peace Island Park

A covered event facility will be built at Peace Island Park along the south banks of the Peace River later this summer, thanks in part to help from Northern Development Initiative Trust.
