Program overview
The Governance Essentials Program for Directors of Not-For-Profit Organizations provides twelve need-based Northern Development Initiative Trust scholarships, valued at $1,000 each. These scholarships are available annually to support the participation of not-for-profit board members and executive directors who would not be able to participate in the “Governance Essentials Program” due to financial considerations.
Apply for funding
Scholarship applications must be submitted to Northern Development by February 28th of each calendar year. Decisions are made on the basis of intake demand and financial need, and there is no guarantee of receiving a scholarship. All decisions are final and applicants will be advised by March 30th.
Completed scholarship application forms should be provided electronically to Northern Development by email.
