Northern Industry Expansion - Supply Chain FinancingNorthern Development can guarantee 25% up to $1 million of approved supply chain financing .Supply chain financing includes both financing of purchase orders (accounts payables) and of invoices to customers (accounts receivables) to retain more working capital in the company.
Northern Industry Expansion - Working CapitalNorthern Development can guarantee up to $1 million or 25% of an approved loan, significantly increasing the amount of capital available to manufacturing related businesses wishing to pursue growth projects in central and northern B.C.
Competitiveness Consulting RebateNorthern Development provides the manufacturing and resource sector supply chain with 50% rebates for management consulting expertise to expand operations and improve profitability.
Community Infrastructure
Community RevitalizationNorthern Development offers an incentive program that can be offered by municipalities to encourage new development and redevelopment within central and northern B.C. communities.
Economic Diversification InfrastructureNorthern Development provides grant and loan funding for municipalities, regional districts, First Nations bands, and registered non-profit organizations to support the construction of infrastructure throughout the region that directly diversifies the economy.
Community Halls and Recreation FacilitiesNorthern Development provides grant and loan funding to improve the sustainability and event hosting capacity of facilities that generate revenues for non-profits and the tourism sector.
Feasibility StudiesNorthern Development provides grant funding for feasibility studies that inform major infrastructure projects and capital investment in the region to increase revenues generated from outside central and northern B.C.
Business Façade ImprovementThe Business Façade Improvement program provides annual funding to municipalities and regional districts to enhance economic development by encouraging private sector investment in businesses façade improvements.
Capacity Building
Economic Development Capacity BuildingNorthern Development provides annual incremental funding to municipalities and regional districts to increase economic development capacity in rural communities.
Grant Writing SupportNorthern Development provides grant funding for up to fifty-four communities each year to support the hiring of a grant writer to respond to community priorities and non-profit requests, and dramatically increase the success communities have in applying for grants from community funding sources.
Marketing InitiativesNorthern Development provides grant funding to support development of marketing assets that will attract new investment and increase revenues to the region from outside of central and northern B.C.
Community Foundation Matching GrantsThe Community Foundation Matching Grants program provides all municipalities or regional district electoral areas with up to $50,000 from a regional development account in matched funding to assist with establishment of a dedicated endowment within a registered community foundation over a two year period.
Governance Essentials ScholarshipNorthern Development provides a scholarship for directors of non-profit organizations to support the participation of board members and executive directors who would not be able to participate in the Institute of Corporate Directors' Governance Essentials program due to financial considerations.
